I purchased the springs from the dealership two weeks ago and have been driving around with the new drop for about a week. The installation was straightforward because instructions in the box helped.

The side to side wobble and jostling stopped, less lean when taking corners, and the ride is slightly firmer. The height is perfect for me (lowered 1.1 inches f/r) and to me, the stance makes the car look way better. I haven't had any issues with driveways or speed bumps.

As you can see in the side by side comparison of the TRD and stock springs, the stock coil spring's length is much shorter and thinner than the TRD set.

I think they go for $240? I'm an employee at a dealership so I got mines at a discount.

Do the wheels butterfly in any way? Did u have to get it re-allign? I'm looking at the Teins Springs that have a 1.5" drop but afraid that it will butterfly.

Alignment should be done after dropping the car, but after a settling in period.

Do you mean camber on the wheels? Yes, lowering the car would change the camber.

Looking good! Are you on TRD Plus springs too? Your car looks lower than mines.

Both cars look great! I have a question for both of you though. Did you guys paint your stock rims or are those aftermarket? If so, how did you paint them and with what? Thank you!

The 2012 models have black wheels versus the 2010-2011 silver wheels.

Now we really gotta meet up and chat. I got a quote from SAL of $314.10 for the springs. Have you considered or are you planing to install the rear sway bar?

I'm not getting the rear bar. I think it'll be fine without it. I had STIs and Miata's that surely needed sway bars to squeeze the most performance out of the suspension. But I'm not planning to drive that aggressively in the Prius. My friend plans to put one in soon.

I'll pm you my contact info.

The ride generally feels smoother. It's firmer over bumps and is flat around corners. I would recommend these springs if you just want a mild drop but still want to improve the handling.

I'm glad to hear you say that. I got to drive The Critic's car to LA while it was stock and then I drove it again after he lowered the car and it did feel smoother. It felt nothing like my GenII did on Eibachs. You seem to get all the benefits of a drop but none of the negative effects unless you want a full on race spring with greater tension. If I find a set for cheap enough I may get them later in the year.
