Missing piece on dash???

    Does anyone know what that little plastic cap thing is next to the defrost vents? I just noticed it looks like there should be one on both sides but one is missing.

    It looks like its just a cover for the screw or whatever that is. No biggie

    i thought there was a piece missing too, so i was going to bring this up the next time i went to the dealership.
    if its normal, what is the purpose then?

    Maybe the uncapped piece is the day/night receptor for the displays?

    It is sensor for the hvac system. Leave it alone.

    HVAC sensor. Works to increase fan speed when the car is in the sun.

    Huh. I assumed it was a sensor, but thought it was for the remote. Thanks!

    Are both of them HVAC sensors?

    Should exist on the driver's side (left side of the vehicle for most of you, right side for some of us).
