According to the toyota web site, c one only has 4 speakers, but is that right all of them are in the front doors? I tried to adjust the sound setting today and chnage the fader then realized that if I put 100% output to the back, there is no sound at all. Just wonder if this is correct or not? Thanks Also, no beep sound when lock doors with remote ?
I don't know about the speakers, but I also noticed that there is no sound when I lock the doors remotely on my Prius C 2. Likewise, the horn doesn't beep, if I hit the lock button twice...I think this is a first for me in well over a decade. I used this often, especially if I had walked a distance away and couldn't remember if I had locked the doors. I'm really going to miss that.
Its true about the speakers. front only. Would be inerested to know if the wire harness is there, and hot, maybe you just need to install some loudspeakers and hook up to the wires.
does your puerto rico prius c one have a rear window wiper? I ask because I'm wondering if your car is different than US mainland one's.
PC-1 doesn't have rear window wiper only PC-3 No grills in my PC-1 just a flat hard plastic panel.. What about the speaker cables??
Note what the brochure has to say as to the difference between the One's radio and the Two's: One: AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, four speakers in four locations, auxiliary audio jack, USB 2 port with iPod®3 connectivity, auto sound leveling, hands-free phone capability, phone book access and music streaming via Bluetooth®4 wireless technology S – – – Two: AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, six speakers in six locations, auxiliary audio jack, USB 2 port with iPod®3 connectivity, auto sound leveling, hands-free phone capability, phone book access and music streaming via Bluetooth®4 wireless technology – S – –
In my PC-1 if you got to the radio menu you can see the rear (fade/balance) adjustments options. Toyota also counts the tweeters as speakers, in my PC-1 you'll see a full range speaker and a tweeter in each front door for a total of 4.
Weird. Typically 4 speakers mean one in each door. This is the first time where 4 speakers mean 2 door speakers and 2 tweeters and no rear door speakers (at least for a Toyota product).
so has anybody actually looked in the rear doors to see if there are already cables running there? i have a 2013 C one and on the rear door i only have the grille but no speakers. just read another thread. no cables are there and you have to run your own. guess i got some stuff to do now.
Yep! I just had my system installed and although I had grills there were no speakers and NO WIRES. The tech was blown away by there being nothing there knowing how cheap two speakers could be for the manufacturer to install them. Now there is speakers and all of my neighbors within a 1/4 mile know it too
MAN! I wanted the speakers to occupy one single spot, guess stephen hawking is still working that problem out.
My C1 has a rear wiper but no rear speakers… nothing a trip to Best Buy didn't fix and I still saved over a C2. Speakers added, Center Armrest added…. only thing I'm missing is a Cruise Control and that can be added…. only thing I won't be able to add is the cargo cover… but I will eventually add tint to solve that problem…. Its not like the trunk is that big anyway… lol…. Still cheaper than a C2 or higher…. But if going right out the gate and not wanting to deal with any of the above… C2 or higher
