This past weekend, I took my new PiP on it's first roadtrip. Wouldn't you know it, on my way home, on a rural Minnesota road, I ran into a wild turkey crossing the road (for the last time). It couldn't have been a direct hit because I saw the turkey rolling away (still in one piece) as I looked back. Amazingly, I have yet to find the point-of-impact dent on the front of my car. I can't see any damage and I don't understand how that's possible. Anyone else have the misfortune of hitting anything yet?
glad the car is ok; not to make light of what was probably a scary situation, but the wild turkeys come to graze and court in our front yard:
I hit a small bird once (and thousands of small bugs), but that's about it. Hope I never hit any living being.
In the first car I bought new, a 1991 Honda Civic, I hit a deer on two separate occassions. Neither totaled the car, but it sure was inconvenient (and fatal for the deer).
