Today the wife & I went to our local Toyota Dealer to get a part for the 06 Prius. We got the part we went for. As we were leaving, the wife wanted to go look at the new Prius C. Dam that thing is small. Then she wanted to look at the reg Prius & then the Prius V. After spending a few hrs looking & test driving, we are now the proudest owners of a brand new 2012 Prius package 4. Had only 6 miles on it when we got it. It's a Blizzard Pearl w/charcoal leather. Nav, SKS, rear view cam, no Sun roof. Things I already like: Auto headlights, LED DRLs & how quite the inside is. Pics to follow
What was the "sad" part - you traded in the old Prius, you had to sign an auto loan, or ?? When you woke up yesterday morning, you probably had no idea that a new Prius was in your immediate future... My wife is like yours, in that she sometimes will initiate a chain of events that leads to a large purchase, without any prior warning. In any event, congratulations on your purchase!
Congrats! At least you won't have to see your 06 anymore. I have to see mine every week because I sold it to a coworker. Eek
Yeah, that's got to be a tough 1. Thx. It was a great experience with the Gen2, but it was getting close to its 150k hybrid warranty so it was time to upgrade. Both. Letting go of an old friend yet making another.......then having to sign my life away. They gave me $6,500 for the 06. It had an accident on its record that replaced the fnt bumper, hood, left headlight & windshield, a pretty bad dent on the left rear quarter, parking lot dents & had 114k on the clock. I found it strange yesterday that the wife wanted to with me to get a part for the car........she normally never want to get parts. Then she askwd if she can see the new Prius C. It had never crossed my mind that my wife had this all planned out. In the end I'm happy with the Gen3 so far.
Congrats! I just stopped in for a Test Drive when I drove home my Prius C. And Yes they are small but easy to drive and park. Plus the view out the rear window is clear .
I recently rode in my daughters 2010 Venza and one thing I did notice was the difference in the noise level between the two cars. My 2012 Prius is a lot quieter than her Venza.
Toyota has done their homework. The road noise is so much quieter. So is the ICE noise. The power driver leather seat is much more comfortable. I'm still stoke on the LED DRLs.
Woah thats illegal breh!! Cool car. Impulse buying. That's what happens when you have $$....and a wife.
Yep. The back was done with 5% & the front with 35%. I wanted to do the windshield, but the wife wasn't having it.
