The wife and I are 30 with our first child on his way in about four months. We picked up our Prius v3 on Saturday. Very practical vehicle, but the drive itself will take some getting used to. I'm still driving my Mercedes C300, and my wife was driving a 3 series BMW before the purchase. We figured a 2 door coupe was not practical once our child arrives. I'll probably take over once we move, and I start commuting from Irvine to LA.
54. 44mpg. Plenty of room for 2 road or 2 mountain bikes without having to remove the front wheels. A friend's Acura MDX required removing the front wheel. 2 mountain bikes would not fit. Traded in 2003 Honda Pilot, 14 mpg.
im 25, and my wife is 24. No kids. I had been wanting a Prius since the Gen III was released, but when I saw the V I particularly fell in love with the roomniness, specifically how the bridge between the driver and passenger seats that the Prius Gen III had is no longer there. I really like how that opened space. Love the car.
Really--age ain't a number, a state of mind, etc. When you reach MY age you realize it is a condition of body and mind, and it will catch up with all of you/us.
I'm 61 and wife is 59. First Hybrid and we think we are going to love it. Got the five loaded with just about everything you can get on it. May have went a little overboard, but at least won't be sorry I didn't get something from factory.
I'm a 29 year psychopath and I find that the cargo space in the v makes it much easier to fit corpses back there (covered up of course, I'm not an idiot), and with room to spare I keep a cooler with sandwiches and soda pop.
I am 46, married, one child age 10. Just traded in an 07 Camry Hybrid which we bought new instead of a Prius because at the time I thought the Prius was too small. Went to check out the Prius v as my husband's friend got one and hubby liked it. I test drove it and it seemed miles from the old Prius. We've had it a few weeks and I'm loving it - and averaging about 46 mpg!
52 year old male. We have two boys ages 8 an 21. Plus Lucy our one year old LaberDane. Picked up our silver V today.
57 female and hubby has a 2006 Prius. We wanted a station wagon as it can haul our junk here and there on trips with great gas mileage. The car costs $10,000 more than the Huyndai station wagon, but you get a better wagon, better gas mileage, etc. so it balances out in the long run.
My wife and I are 61 and 63 years old and I believe more older people will be buying the Prius v , that is if they are not afraid of the electronics....
52-year-old female with a 59-year-old husband. He's not a big fan of the Prius (yet), but I've been in love since first sight in 2001. Now that they have the Prius v., I'm definitely in love, and the fact that it has a moonroof makes my world complete. The electronics and "entertainment value" of the dashboard display are the very reason I'm so smitten with the car (even with my 'advance' age, wink wink).
51 and 46 ...Have two girls 16 and 8, and a son away at school. We traded an 09 Mazda CX/9. The V is primarily my wife's driver and our weekend car. So far we're very happy wih it.
We are 79 and 77. We wore out: 1. a 1965 Toyota Corolla station wagon, 2. a 1973 Toyota Corona station wagon, 3. half-way wore out a 1998 Camry (173,000 Miles/ 32 MPG) and now we are going to wear out 4. this beautiful 2012 Prius v / 3 station wagon. (Classic Silver Metallic) Purchased today, April 26, 2012 Thanks for all the info we gleaned on "PriusChat" in 10 days since first viewing a Prius v
