Sad news. It was the highest mileage AWD available, beating out the Lexus RX450 and Highlander and for a solid $10K less. Just sold my 2009 Escape Hybrid AWD to get a Prius. Ford doesn't look to be offering an AWD hybrid at all. The new C-MAX doesn't offer an AWD version.
Already posted about long ago at http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-h...-ecoboost-will-provide-better-mpg-rating.html.
And here's Ford Escape Hybrid ads headlining PriusChat Forum. My Prius experiment is to see if the Prius with Nokian WG snow tires is a viable ski mobile.
Hey we were just talking about the FEH yesterday. http://priuschat.com/forums/ford-hybrids/104153-anyone-have-escape-hybrid.html#post1521714 Maybe you can give him some insight (really bad/poor hybrid pun).
I think he was looking at an older Escape Hybrid. Big model change at 2009(?) so I didn't chime in. I loved mine. Great vehicle. Super snow mobile with AWD and Nokian's. Liked the Nokian's so much I thought the Prius/FWD with Traction and Stability could probably do the job with 20 more miles per gallon.
love my FEH, bought new in 06 with zero problems since.just had a tone ring/tie rod end go bad but otherwise great. best car I've ever owned, and the only car I've ever considered buying twice, but they're discontinuing. 130k mi and going strong.
