The ported in Benicia on April 9 and went to the dealership (Palo Alto) on April 19.

Oh. I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. It has to arrive any day, and when it does you will spend 5 hours just driving it like I did today. When you least expect it you will get a call, that's what happened to me.

On a lighter side, I was with friends tonight, and they were making fun if me cause I got a Prius, when I said its a plugin, they were interested and took it for a drive. They were like. This us cool, from the quiet engine to the swooshing sound of the car in low speeds. After the ride, my friend who has a 380zx, was like. I like it. It's different. Anyway. That was my first day.

My experience so far in Southern California (LA/OC area):
Toyota dealer said my PIP order is @ #2,400-ish (I asked).
3/23 recv'd email that it was built, 3/28 recv'd email said it was on the ship to port, dealer called 4/19 said it arrived LA/LB harbor (Guess it was on Pyxis Leader) and made appt to pick up on Monday 4/23. Our solar panels and newly installed Leviton charger can not wait to all hang out together and talk shit about stinky old gas stations. "I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. TEXAS HIGHWAY is offshore, should hit the Golden Gate midafternoon and dock in BENICIA tonight (April 21).

I am flying into SFO on April 30 and will start my drive to Denver area after taking delivery that day.

 

^^^ That's pretty impressive. I was going to take delivery in Palo Alto and drive about 900 miles to Tucson, but ran into a goof up the dealer. You should PM F8L or The Critic to see if they can give you some pointers on how to get the car back home with minimal signs of a long journey. Both of those guys were great in offering assistance to me.

 

My pip is finally in at dealer. Drove to Lakewood New York today and staying in local motel because there is a winter storm warning for Lakewood 8+ inches of snow starting tonight and ending tuesday at 5pm
