I just had an oil change done on our 2010. Also of note, I've just switched the winter tires over to summer tires - done myself. So here's the issue. When coasting, particularly at low speeds, a rubbing noise can be heard issuing from the front right somewhere. The noise goes as the rpms go and seems to go away when either braking or accelerating. I'm not sure if it's present at high speeds due to road noise which would overwhelm it. Any thoughts here? I'm at a loss. Thanks for any hints you folks might have.
My guess would be something rubbing against the tire, as it seems like the noise increases with road speed. Did they secure that oil change door thing? Maybe that is rubbing against the tire/road.
It may be a brake misalignment or something caught in the calipers. It could also be a wheel bearing.
I''ll get back to you on that next week. I have an appt with them then. I mentioned the TSB when making the appt. Hopefully I can diagnose this other problem before then. Later today I'm going to remove the FR tire and see what I can find - it doesn't sound good. Something is definitely rubbing somewhere...
