I'm sure more apps are coming, right? I mean, that one page is full but there are arrows pointing to the left and right that are greyout. I would assume this means more apps are coming and we will be able to move from page to page by clicking the arrows. Is there a list of what is coming or am I wrong and these few apps is all we get?
The Plug-in will be getting the ECO dashboard app for owners mobile devices come the summer (and the charge station map will also be out for the phone this summer) but other than that I have not seen nor heard anything and the Entune site mentions nothing right now. Connect with your Toyota
Hopefully something useful! Especially one that will not suck the life out of your cell phones limited data plan! As I posted earlier, "It's not like I did not see that one coming!" Which is a sad note, it's like getting the worlds best battery operated toy, but you can only have 1 battery a month to play with. The battery lasts 2 weeks! What to do about the other two weeks!!!
I live in Florida, was told the plug in wasn't sold in my region yet. Errr! However my electric bill is high enough, not sure about the math (Electric rates Vs gas) but still... I want more apps, heck I would love to see it turn into a smart phone/android thing. We must pull over to use it any ways... I'd love to watch youtube, facebook, or browse the internet. I mean, it's not like I can drive down the road doing this stuff... Toyota makes sure I pull over to use it.
There's "Angry Prius Owners" a great new game you play online interactive with other Prius owners while driving. What apps would you want? For me Traffic, Weather and Bing interactive with Nav are the key. Fuel Guide makes sense. Pandora is OK but a real data plan disaster in the making, a bandwidth beast. Same for iHeart Radio. But legit listening choices. Stocks and Sports make no sense as car applications.
I agree! I hope they open up all the apps to all vehicles as well. I was really excited about having opentable, as well as the movie tickets app in my car, only to find out it was ONLY for the Premium HDD package. Seems a little unfair to me. iPhone ?
And just plain dumb if they are trying to build up Entune as something people would pay money to subscribe to, limiting it to a much smaller demographic. Key is building a big audience as fast as possible with good apps the make the service useful for them. Even dumber since the small demographic who can access the apps can get much of it (traffic, weather, fuel prices) via XM vs. Entunes for same subscription costs or less with no use of costly cell phone bandwidth. Bing is about the stupidest search engine out there but I'd guess they paid Toyota to use them vs. Google.
