When ordering, how long did you wait for your Prius c?

I ordered a Black Prius C Four with Black Softex and 16 inch alloys last thursday. They couldn't give me a ballpark of when they would have one. They did say it was not currently on a ship. I can't wait! Anticipation is killing me.

 

If you're not stuck w/o a car for now, wait for exactly what you want to come in. In the long run, you'll thank yourself for waiting.

In the mean time, start cleaning up the old car to sell.

has anyone have experience trying to get the prius c in moonglow?
is it a fairly rare color?

 

I just ordered my Prius C today (April 7) and am hoping for the best. I will be happy for it to arrive by the end of June so I don't have to worry about getting another NYS inspection on my current Prius I will update when it arrives!

 

Cool... as long as you're happy, that all that really matters. Driving the c... any color c, will be rewards enough once you get to own and drive it. Congrats!

 

Okay.. so after a week of searching, the dealership is saying that they can't find my Summer Rain 3 with moonroof and alloy wheels. Either I have to change the color or try looking for one without the alloy wheels. *Sigh* the other option is to place an order and they are saying that could be 3-4 months or so.. my trade in is depreciating and I am afraid something will go wrong with it before I get a chance to trade... I really really don't want to give up the color so I gave up the wheels. Don't know if it will make any difference in the search or not.. What do you all think?

 

you can easily add aftermarket alloy wheels later. purchase the color you want with a moonroof now, if you can find one.

Congrats on your Blue Streak, I'm still waiting for my dealer to locate a Blue Streak 4 w/moonroof and 15" alloy wheels, been about 2 weeks now.

 

Good Luck Valborg!! It has been about a week and a half now for me and they have finally said that they can't find the Summer Rain Metallic one with moonroof/alloy wheels. I hope you have more luck!!!!!

 

Looking grim here in the land of Aloha.

Ordered a Summer Rain C II on February 17. Told it would arrive in April - either 1st or 2nd shipment. March shipment was all reserved.

Called today and was told they have no real idea now when the car will come in.

 

I purchased my model 2 on Wednesday, April 4 and was told it would take less then a week to arrive. However, they called me a few days later and said it might take several weeks, especially if I only wished to stick with one of my two color choices (blue or silver). I then proceeded to tell him the few color choices I couldn't live with. I got a call the next day saying that he had managed to make a trade for a red one that was still on a shipment arriving in New York this week. I took it! I just heard that it arrived at the dealer today and that I can pick it up in a few days!

Of course, I'm going in for surgery tomorrow and will be bed ridden for roughly a week, so I won't actually be able to pick it up until the end of next week...figures...

Oh well, at least I have something to look forward to!

Couple things, the day I first looked at the Prius C, they actually had a silver model 2 at the dealer, but someone was smart enough to grab it before I returned the next day.

Also, my father was so impressed with the C, that he went in to buy one yesterday, April 11. They told him that it would be at least a two month wait, if he ordered it. We decided to walk around the lot while he thought about it and we happened to notice that they had several pre- owned regular Priuses (Prii).

He ended up getting a 2009 Prius, with only 29k miles on it for less than I'm paying for my "C". Sure, it might get slightly less mpg than a "C", but he got it in the color he wanted and drove away in it the same day. I'm happy for him, but I still want my Prius C!!

 

C II in black and had it in 6 days...my wife signed the paperwork yesterday, so I guess "technically" in 5 days as I wasn't able to get to the dealer until today.

 

Called on Thursday said grey or black c2 I was ready to buy. Sat. Morning picked one up thatdrove in from 100mi away. I explained to them that I was buying and I could drive to one or they could get it there.

 

I ordered a blue streak metallic , trim 3 with 15" alloy wheels and the moonroof on March 21st and the dealer tells me that Toyota will build the car on April 21st and that it will arrive the first or second week in May

 

Awesome! Hopefully mine will be 3 weeks behind yours! My order was placed April 7 and I talked to the dealer and allocations are done next Tuesday. Hopefully by the end of next week i'll have a better idea Until then I will continue to enjoy my 2009 I'll miss it but it will make someone an AWESOME used hybrid, i'll bet it sells within a week.

 

I kept in touch with my local dealer and got a call on March 9th. Test drove one on the 10th and they had my C4 in blue streak metallic with sunroof and 16's on the 12th. It was the only one on the east coast at the time.

Just drove mine home less than an hour ago!

Drove it home in Ecco mode and managed to pull off 66.5mpg! I drove home using only back roads though. I'll take it for spin on the highway, as soon as I get the chance.

So very happy!!

 

I waited for about three weeks last month to get mine. It came from Portland, OR to St Paul, MN.
