I am not in need of a new battery but I thought id share this with everyone http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__10148597-P_2916_S|GRPBATTAM2____?zoneAssigned=1 Price: $200.99 Promo code: "VISA" ($50 of $150) Plus $25 rebate(attached) free shipping Seems like a good deal. This promo code applies store wide to any combined purchase over $150. As I said i am not in need of a battery i only have about 3.5k mi on my prius but feel free to convince me on the benefits and i might just pull the trigger on this. also i am in no way affiliated with this store but i have purchased some akebono brake pads from them for my g37 so i can vouch for their legitness. Pardon my grammer
thanks I have already posted this on gen II forums but you can spread the word in gen III forums but I'm not 100% sure the ds46b24r fits gen III. in most states you will have to pay sales tax for advance auto parts orders. if you join eBates.com you get 6% cash back from advance auto as well as cash back for all your other online shopping fun.
Thanks to both for posting this. My friend has an 08 with the original 12V and I was just telling him he may want to replace it soon as a preventative measure since you don't often get the "warning signs" that a conventional car would give. At $125, you can't beat the price!
i probably should of searched before posting total noob move because i did actually find your thread and the other one after i posted. As for the battery not fitting i have absolutely no idea i just entered my year make and model and that came up And thanks for the heads up on the eBates.com i didnt not know about that.
Ordered mine on 4/5/12 from Advanced Auto Parts for $150.99 shipped to NM. No $25 mail in rebate was enclosed!
If ebates is anything like the others that that have come before, they will honor all rebates for a short while, then a fraction of the rebates for a while, then none and eventually go out of business. If the deal is a pass if the ebate does not go through, then pass.
The "rebate" and "ebates" are two different things.... The rebate is a mail in rebate for $25, which you need to fill out the form from the OP and eventually they mail you a check. eBates.com is a website where just by clicking thru their link to Advanced Auto Parts, they give a certain amount of cash back to you, which is paid by check quarterly. eBates.com had AAP at 12% cash back, so really you pay: $200 price -$50 "VISA" coupon code -$18 eBates cash (currently 12%) -$25 mail in rebate Total cost: $107
no, advance auto is awesome except for one thing: they just cancel your order and then you have to re-order when it gets back in stock, which means you may miss out on certain coupons and/or rebates
Nice, just ordered mine today. Need it pretty bad since my 12V will read 10.10V and I get a temporary Master Warning Light when I start the car. I went through ebates.com and used their BIG50 coupon and clicked their link then shopped the store for the DS46B24R and bought it online and will be going to pick it up at a store not far from here. After the discount and tax it is $166.45 from AdvanceAuto then the rebate is $25 off ebates gives 12% so that's probably $18 + $5 sign up bonus with ebates right now. Comes down to about $118.45 for me. Oh another $1.66 cash back on my credit card too. Lmao, $116.79 actually.
Just installed my Optima... went pretty well, but there sure is a lot of stuff to remove to take out the battery.
