FIrst of all, hello everyone! I made the Prius switch the end of March and finally decided to joing the PriusChat community. As for the title, you read correctly. I'm a 21 year old college student and after enjoying by shiny 2008 BMW coupe for a year and a half, I decided it was time to be more responsible. I traded it in for a 2011 Prius Two in Charcoal Gray. I miss my BMW, but I LOVE my Prius. Feels good to be responsible and efficient. Thought you guys would enjoy hearing about my switch!
Welcome. I recently switched from a sports car to a Prius. Seeing all the money I save makes me happy. lol
:welcome: Did you have the 3 series? Anyway you wont get the same power as the bimmer BUT you'll definitely have a bigger smile when you get to the gas station
I go to Stevens in Hoboken, NJ. paycee, Yes I had the 328xi coupe. I do miss the power sometimes but I'm trying to grow up a little and make better decisions and the Prius was step one! I do have, literally, a huge smile on when I go to the pump. :cheer2:
Welcome aboard. I made the switch last Sept from a 335xi coupe to the Prius. The Prius continues to put a smile on my face and I look forward to driving it. Enjoy the new ride!
The 3 series was a cool one specially if its a coupe BUT then again the 2011 pri has the power mode if you need the extra boost. I do commend you for making a very wise decision on getting a prius. I gotta warn you though, once you've driven a prius I dont think you would want to drive any other car.. now that you've gotten used to hearing nothing at stop lights
Cool! Lets see...I was 22 when I bought my Prius, but I definitely didn't have a BMW before that. Haha!
I sold 2003 Mercedes CLK320 convertible and purchased 2012 Prius Three. I was (almost!) crying watching my mercedes driving off with a new owner but it was the right thing to do. Even though convertible was a lot of fun (and you feel like million bucks driving it!), 50+ MPG and all the fun gadgets on my new Prius makes me happy every day! Once you go Prius...
