Hi Everyone, We're shopping around for a 2012 Prius III w/solar roof package. Does anyone know of any good deals in the area? I have been emailing one dealership and was quoted $26,600 plus tax, tags, and processing. I have a feeling demand is surging again and don't want to screw myself out of a good deal. We're trading in our 2011 Highlander so we're already going to be dealing with negative equity. Any suggestions would be appreciated...also, what kind of add-ons could I ask for to sweeten the deal? Thanks!
I went with 355 in Rockville. I think I got a pretty good deal both on the car adn the trade. After-purchase attention has been great. Jim Coleman in Bethesda tried lowballing me on the trade after bringing up 'questions' on the transmission. It was fine. I didn't like that. Also the night before I bought it at 355, I was at Coleman and they were rude to me. I never went back. Take a look at the TTL part. I think the MD fees are a lot less than VA. Also take a look at Carmax in Laurel. I have heard good things about them but never got over there. As far as prices, I used the truecar adn endmunds to initiate the email contact with them then negotiated down from that. My salesman was "KD"- the only complaint I really have is that I got there about 9:30 am and didn't have everything done till about 4:30. And missed lunch & was about to faint from low blood sugar! also if you want the extended warranty you can gt the same Toyota one from a dealer-rep on here named Troy for a LOT less than they will quote you
I vote for Laurel Toyota/Carmax, and Joel out there. They will be more than fair in the trade. While they don't dicker on the price of the Prius - it is more than made up for an easy, relaxed buying experience.
