Supposedly, my wife's v5/Tech left the port in Japan yesterday, the 10th. Does anyone know how long it should/will take to get to the Indianapolis area?
I have no clue, but just thought I'd say congratulations! I'm from the Indy area, as well (bought ours from Ed Martin) and love it. I hope you get it soon!
Don't know how long the trek across the Pacific was, but when mine reached Long Beach, CA, it took another week to get to the dealer here in Utah. Weclome to the v family
We bought from Ed Martin Toyota too. Got a great deal shopping online--over $2,200 under MSRP. I have a feeling it won't be until 1 May before my wife gets her Prius.
I love Ed Martin. We bought ours a month ago (second car from them), so before gas prices actually reached $4.00 here, but we walked in and they straight up gave us dealer invoice. There was no negotiating beyond that, especially since they had to drive to Chicago to get it, but they were so easy to work with and I feel we got a good price. I hope yours comes quickly!
Yes, they seem very nice at Ed Martin Toyota even though I have only been in contact with them via email and one phone call. I figure they are making $500 profit upfront not including any hold back and what they will make on my wife's '09 Prius II. Since it's my wife's car, I am not that anxious about the wait; on the other hand if it was going to be mine, I would be bouncing off the walls by now.
It seems our cars may be shipmates for the voyage across the ocean. I was told by my dealer they arrive at Port Orleans and then are trucked up North. From what I gathered it all depends on ow quickly the boat and truck take to fill up. The dealer estimated 4 weeks. We put our deposit down in early-mid Feb and just heard itwas on its way.
