The car is silver with grey cloth interior. It has navigation and smart key. My concern is that the hybrid system warranty is only 8yr/100K miles. While the car is no where near the 100K miles, it is past the 8 year mark. I do not live in a CARB state, so the 10yr/150K warranty does not apply.

Do you think it's a good deal? Does the age of the car matter more than the mileage in terms of reliability?

This will be my first hybrid vehicle and this forum has been a great help.

Yes age matters more than miles driven for a Prius. Extra low mileage should not inflate the price (on a Prius). You c an get a new Prius c for under $20,000.

That seems a bit high. I just got a 2007 base model with 40K for 12.3 thousand (private seller). Check autotrader - I think you could do much better.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll pass on this car since carmax doesn't give room for negotiations.

Prius really is different than most cars, in that car age is as important as miles, maybe more so.
