You can check for your area at Toyota Dealerships - New & Used Car Deals & Special Offers | BuyAToyota.com.
Depending on the model you are looking for and the deal you can get, a 2012 at 2.9% may be a wash compared to a higher model 2011 at 0%. Maybe.... This really only applies to the 2011 Four vs. the 2012 Three I think.
FWIW Penfed credit union (can join for $15-20) has 1.9% for 12-60 month car loans right now. Also has the best gas card I'm aware of: 5% off all the time (not just a stupid introductory period), no limits, cash right into the account at the end of each month and works at all gas stations.
Looks like you can even get 1.5% if you use their "car buying service". Anyone have experience with that?
I have not used them for car buying but they offer incredible mortgage rates and are a reputable CU. Also, you need to qualify to join- some sort of military or govt position- they have that on their website.
The rates can and are different from state to state. When I was looking in January: Pa was 0% for max of 60 months and NJ was 0% for max of 36 months -- 2.9% for 60 months. Thats a couple of thousand dollars on a 30k loan. Toyota will finance the whole with no money down. I wanted a five w/o TP -- so the discount on the 11 and the 0% made the 11 quite a bit less. Plus -- I could not get a 12 in the five w/o TP
You can join Pentagon federal credit union by joining the national military family association. By a simple donation you can join penfed and take advantage of their low interest rates. That's what I do.
