Update: The ship is a bit over 50 miles off the coast heading toward Portland right now Freakin cool Mike
I'm on lunch here at work and was just looking at that. That is cool. Hopefully 3 weeks and they will be here!!!!
Yea I am so happy to see it coming to the US tonight. It still has about 20 miles to go until the coast and is slowing down for traffic in the river. It has a ways to go up the river before Portland. Looks like it is running a few hours behind Hope they do a good job installing the Plus Perf kits and get 'em out the door soon Damn I can't wait... Bet you have a hard time working tonight knowing your car is oh so close Mike
Yeah I'm excited but building all these camrys and venzas is keeping me busy. I can't wait to get it. I'm betting still 3 weeks out.
3 weeks would put it at the end of the month. That is what my sales lady said so looks to be on schedule. Hope so anyhow. I see it is getting in 6 hours late from it's original guesstimate. Right now it's cruising past Astoria Oregon. Looks like it has a ways to go up the river as it is all woodsy looking around that town. I'll have to figure out where it docked if I hit the sack before it makes it there. Kinda fun watching it come into town. Wish there was some live video to see Mike
Here's the street address for the Toyota facility in Portland. 10400 North Lombard Street, Portland, Oregon Check out the Google Maps sat view of the parking lot by the pier. Prii up the Wazoo sitting there when the pics were taken Mike
So now we wait out: The ship is docked. Be interesting to see how long it takes to unload all the vehicles. Mike
I bet it takes a day or two at most to unload once they start. Looks like some 4runners and FJ cruisers sitting there as well. That's pretty neat to see. That lot looks like the marshaling yard at our plant that is full of Camrys, Venzas, and Avalons.
My son & I were counting Prii in the lot Crap loads of them. Too bad it is not a live sat pic. Mike iPhone
Nah that could cause undue stress if you watched your car get dinged It would be repaired but you would always remember what happened. This waiting is unnerving Blah, I want my car now Mike iPhone
Next couple weeks are gonna drag by. The closer it gets the longer it's gonna feel like it is taking to get here.
tick tock tick tock whens my car gonna get here Tyler & I seen a bunch of Solar Prii today while driving around in the big city. Mike
Am I right in seeing that our ship is on its way to Canada now? If so that was a fast unload. Is that what you are seeing WE0H?
Oh my, yep it has left port. That means one thing. Our cars are unloaded and getting the goodies installed Saweet Mike
You... guys... are... killing... me... Still waiting for mine to be allocated. :decision:I see a new listing on Cars.com that has virtually everything I have ordered, but they've listed it for $1,100 more than what I've been quoted locally. And it's 800 miles away. If I drive back then that puts 800 miles on the tires, which I have already planned on replacing. So I'll take a hit there as well. So I can:lalala: on the news that others have gotten, or are about to get, their cars and ray2: that I get some news soon. This wait is excruciating.
Tell me about it. Knowing where my car is and knowing it will be another 2-3 weeks possibly 4 weeks until I can lay my paws on it. Blah!!!! Freakin nuts Wait to get exactly what you want & what you are supposed to pay. No need to throw extra bucks in the deal to get it a few weeks sooner. We'll post some cool pics when we get ours so you can over them until you get yours Mike
I am betting 3 weeks. Bet they leave Portland by Monday at the latest if they are as efficient there as we are here. We can hope that's the case anyways.
Don't freight trains run 70-80 mph? Amtrak runs Portland to Minneapolis in 36 hours 20 minutes. Portland to Indy is 52 hours 5 minutes. Looks like Amtrak runs thru Minneapolis to get to Chicago then Indy. I am thinking your car will be on the same freight train running just south of my house. It'd be my luck I am dropping my wife off at the morning commuter train and see the freight train running thru town and see a BP Prius and wonder is that mine, yours or someone else's I have seen auto hauling cars before running those tracks. Oh well, we'll have them soon. I might get mine before you do though ound: Mike
