I would like all the doors to unlock when i open the drivers door. The manual is a little confusing on how to do this or if you can. Any suggestions?
Easy...While standing next to the car, hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the keyfob down for about 5 seconds...the car will beep twice....your done....now when you approach the car and grab the handle, all doors will unlock....to unlock them all via remote, just hit the open button twice in succession...good luck! -M
pg. 519 of your owner's manual. looks like it might be a setting that you need to take to your dealer to program... but it is possible, according to the manual.
So, actually it can be set without going to the dealer? I assume holding the lock and unlock buttons for another 5 seconds will go back to the original setting, right?
My '12 Prius III left the lot with all doors able to unlock, then when the alarm was installed a couple days later I thought I had lost my mind because it then would only open the front doors or if I went to the hatch it would open them all up. I sat in the car all doors closed held the lock and unlock button at the same time till an audible noise and a display showed the car w/ 4 doors open popped up then it was back to normal. It really is nice when you have a baby. Thanks for the heads-up... Now to work on getting that noise-box disconnected!!!
