Just bought my metallic blue Prius v this week and had a funny experience. I have always been really obsessive about testing the handle after I lock the door in any car i own. Sometimes i check twice. The most exciting thing about having the keyless entry was not having to search for my keys so the fob is zippered in my purse. Parked at the store & did the cool touch the handle thing...then reached down to test it & it unlocked. So I locked it again & tried again & again... Then seriously looked around the parking lot to see if 1. Anyone was watching me make a fool of myself and 2. If someone would hold my key & walk farther away so I could test the handle. I have now gotten over my OCD about that & trust the beep. Really loving the car
Hahaha, I was doing the exact same thing. Thanks for sharing how you stopped worrying and learned to trust the beep :tinfoil3:
The door shouldn't unlock if you pull it within 3 seconds of locking it. Toyota built that in so that those who are used to pulling the handle to check will not unlock the car.
I do not know how many times I have done that! When I am not sure (or paranoid), I look inside at the door locks. I guess I am still not used to it yet...
It took me a whole week to stop fetching for the kesy by the steering column after I pushed the Power button to turn it off and ready to leave the car.
