I am a New Prius owner and would like to upgrade my interior lights to led and to upgrade to HID's. Does anyone know which bulb type to get to do these upgrade? I believe the low beam is H11 and 9005 for High but I am not sure. Who can help me? Thanks. Picked up my Prius last week on March 27,2012 at Smithtown Toyota
You can try looking at sites like Super Bright LED Car Lights, LED Lights For Cars, LED Bulbs, HID Bulbs, HID Conversion Kits and Car Accessories - They also tell you how to look up bulbs for your car in case they might not have it easy to find.
Just make sure you get the headlights aimed properly after you put the hids in so you don't blind oncoming traffic.
Door courtesy, parking, map/personal, licence plate are 198/164 wedge base. Dome (rear) and cargo lights are 3022 (I can't remember what the vanity lights are because I never changed them). You can check the specs of the low beam in the owner's manual near the back (somewhere in the maintenance section).

Yeah I had looked at those sites before. Sylvania doesn't show 2012 lamp replacements yet. I just want to make sure nothing changed from 2011 --> 2012. I don't suspect it did, but I was about to buy bulbs off ebay so just wanted to be sure. If anyone can confirm for me what bulbs are for 2012 prius hatchback lowbeam + highbeam that'd be great. I can't get access to the manual for several days
You can also do a contact them and ask them directly to be sure. They did not have a listing for the interior lights for the Prius v, but the ones they sent me worked (although the festoon replacements were a bit longer than the ones used)
Thanks for everyone's feedback. I had went to a local audio installation place near me and the low beams is H11. 6000k. It looks like factory HID.
OE HID headlights are 4100K- 4300K and they don't come on the Prius anymore. The 5000K-6000K (depending on bulb manufacturer) will better simulate the look of the OE Prius LED headlight system.
Recommend you go with the 5000 vice 6000. 6000 lean more to the bluish type of light while 5000 are the white.
