I saw a Honda Accord Hybrid today with clean air stickers going across the Benicia (CA) bridge. I wasn't aware that the HAH qualified for these stickers. I wonder where/how he got them? Just curious I guess. Cheers all, -- Ian
Honda Accord Hybrid does not qualify the stickers. http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/carpool/carpool.htm <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE("http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/carpool/carpool.htm")</div>
Clean air stickers? As in carpool stickers or something else? Some Honda Accords (specifically the 4 cylinder versions) come in SULEV, which is PZEV, but it certainly isn't in the same league as the Prius or other efficiency centered hybrids.
It was a white 2005 Accord Hybrid-- I saw the Honda Hybrid badge. The clean air stickers were the same as the ones I have on my Prius. I wonder if he has a Prius as well, perhaps for the wife or something, but doesn't use it to commute with. Maybe he thought he could simply use the stickers for the Prius on his "other" hybrid. I wasn't trying to pass judgement on the fellow, but was just curious since I didn't think the Accord qualified since it doesn't reach the 45MPG threshold. Cheers, -- Ian
