I'm looking at about the same time frame for myself-any time between Jan 1 and 15 is when my car is expected in, by the end of the month at the absolute most latest.

Umm, in most cases, you will be FAR better off w/an estimated $3150 tax CREDIT if you take delivery in 2006 compared to a $2000 tax DEDUCTION if you take it before 2006. The value of the deduction depends on your tax bracket. I'm not tax expert by a longshot, but a $2000 deduction should be worth $200-$700 off your federal income tax depending on your tax bracket vs. $3150 off your taxes.
