Obviously, going through and changing all of the filiment bulbs to LED's is more of an asthetic upgrade, but I was curious if anyone had crunched the numbers on $ savings. Granted, bulbs are usually only used for very brief periods at night, and switching out the blinkers is more hassle than it is worth, so it would mostly be the interior lights. Still, I was curious if anyone was obsessive enough to have done the number crunching.
So are all the interior lights LED's in the C? I thought I read it was just the tail lights. Won't be the first time I've been wrong.
I'm sure someone has, I am positive it isn't even an MPG, though Pretty positive anyway, since I've not run the numbers, but would be surprised if it's even 1/10th of an MPG gain theoretically.
Prii plurality! Just rolls off the tounge! So, all the bulbs in the c's tail lights are already LED? I'd change any that aren't, just because they come on so much faster and are generally brighter when used for brake lights and turn signals. I don't have mine yet, so I don't have an example to look at.
There are NO savings to be had, good LEDs cost, If you buy cheap ones and they go out right away, money lost, and you have to buy new ones, hopefully a better brand. When I did my 60 Led Switchback DRL Mod, I ended spending a couple hundred bucks for good quality, bright, and still working 3 years later LEDs. I will never recover, but the car lighting looks great! There are others here on PC that have had bad luck with LEDs burning out way too early, others have had the same good fortune like I have!
