I found something interesting on eBay TOYOTA GENUINE RHD PRIUS REVERSE MIRROR WIRING KIT - JDM ZVW30 2009-2012 OEM Have anyone done this mods? Would like to know if this will work with side mirror turn signal? :cheer2:
I asked the seller and he was not sure if that will fit to US version and mentioned it is RHD ( Right Hand Driver) model
I really like these Japanese mod parts for the Prius but they are so expensive. I bought a tray for my console and it was 44.00 with shipping. I got the kit and I can confirm that it will fit our prius. But the problem is this add on kit is only for RHD passenger side mirror but not both mirrors. So for our LHD prius i will only tilt the driver side mirror which I think it is not useful at all.
Don't be so sure.. On my audi, you could flip a switch to make the right hand side (passenger) mirror tilt down in reverse. But not the left side. It came in handy when parallel parking. Can you come hook one up to my car? I'm not sure why you want one on the left (driver's) side? Can't you just stick your head out and look?
We have this feature on our BMW 528. It only tilts the right mirror. The function of tilting the right mirror is to allow you to see how close you are to the curb when parking (as stated by the previous post). I use this feature all the time when parallel parking. I wish it were on all vehicles.. Keith
priusnubee, you are saying the same thing that ea8631 is saying. The side mirror is only on the right hand drive (RHD) passenger side which is the left side, which means it would be on the driver's side of a left hand drive (LHD) car.
So, the conclusion is that the kit only can be hooked up to left side mirror (driver side US Prius)? I think it will be able to switch or flip to right side ( passenger side) any ?
