Is it possible for me to enable the beep when locking the car? The manual says it should be there by default so I expect that it has been turned off. If it is a short beep, I would like to have it back. Will I be able to do this once I get my SG2 working with my 2007 Prius (European) ?
Don't know about headlights, as I am not in front of the car when pressing the lock button. The blinkers flash once. Forgot to mention that I am using the keyless system.
The headlights never flash on lock/unlock, but the turn signals do. The beep can only be enabled or disabled by the dealer. Just take it in and ask them to enable it. If you take it to one that I tried and they say "it can't be done" or they want an hour's worth of labor to do it, go somewhere else or just kindly point out that the only thing they need to do is plug in the scan tool (basically a laptop with an OBD II plug and some expensive software) and enable "WIRLS BUZZ OPER" in "Customize Paramaters". I find the beep incredibly annoying so I had mine disabled. I only use the SmartKey, so the only time I'm locking or unlocking the doors is by touching the handle, so I always hear the locks moving and the beep is just annoying and repetitive.
I figured it might be too annoying. You say that I cannot enable it myself so I just might leave it disabled. Getting more and more used to hearing the locks engage. It can be a bit tricky in noisy places though. I tried finding a video of the locking beep at first but didn't have much luck with that.

Thanks, not everyone of us live in a country with a billion Prii's. If I went to a random parking lot here, my skeleton would show before a Prius dropped by.
