Any difference in Certified Platinum care while the car is still under the new car warranty vs. out?

    The dealer is telling me that the certified Platinum care warranty also known as Toyota extra care is only available on a vehicle that is still within its original 3/36 warranty. After that its NOT a factory backed program.

    Is there a difference? :confused:

    You can only buy a Toyota warranty while the car is under its original factory warranty. After that, it can only be an aftermarket warranty. These are pretty much worthless.
