Anyone else having a hard time finding a Prius C III with 15" alloy wheels? I'm really not a fan of the standard wheels. Dealer said there are no blue ones in all of California! Guess I'll have too wait...
Got my black sand pearl III last week with 15" alloys....took the dealer a week to get it from 300 miles away... -M
I'm waiting on a c three with 15" alloy and moonroof. Not many out there. Its good to search on cars.com, you can really get a good feel for whats out there. I've only seen 2 cars with my exact configuration, one in Middletown, Rhode Island and one in Elk Grove, California. But I'm waiting for one to get allocated (or A traded) directly from the port to my dealer. I don't want any test driving or anyone looking at or breathing on my car. Yeah, it sucks being picky... Especially when they aren't making many of the car you really want. I think the vast majority of prius c's on cars.com are listed at MSRP, so that helps you when you want to find one with your config. In your case, a c III with alloy wheels only would be listed at $22,785. But most have the $225 mats added in, and would be listed as $23,010. I agree, I don't see any in california. But I do see one in St Charles, IL. And also 2 with the additional rear bumper gaurd at $79 more. At Mishawaka, IN and Holland, MI. Looks like that config might be specific to that toyota region. Changing your config to red, gets you Nashville and Cincinatti with the extra bumper guard, and Vandalia OH, and Warwick, RI with just the alloys. So again, looks like a regional to add the 15" alloys without moonroof. Maybe this early on, Corporate Toyota is throwing various configs at the wall and seeing what sticks, and in 3 months they'll rebaseline their build to suit what's moving... I can't believe they're not making piles of cars in my config, my analysis arrived at it as the perfect prius c configuration. :nerd: Its fun to search, waiting for the time to pass til the next toyota allocation cycle...
I do like the 15" alloys so much more than the 16"s, and the bigger turn radius on the 16"s is a real downer too. Nice rig, managerman!
what you see isnt accurate sold a silver 3 with rims and roof this afternoon a hour away from elk grove did a search and theres a few locally to here [auburn]
yes, they are hard to find. C III usually comes with the steel wheel. I got my 2 weeks ago. I reversed it at the first day the dealer got the Prius C. about March 10?
I reallize all the cars at all the dealers aren't listed on cars.com, but at least it is better than no information at all. What did you search for? OP is looking for c III blue with 15" alloys. Is that what you found?
yes I work for toyota in Auburn I have a customore now that wants a 3 with alloys myself but whats out there today isnt tomorrow, even on my end. I have to get on the phone to confirm just to find out myself whats really in inventory
Could not get a III with alloys and sunroof in red. I didn't try for one without a sunroof but it seems those alloys are few and far between. I had to settle for a III without them. I can always add them later. I was actually told I could have special ordered the car with all of those options, but it would take 60-90 days to arrive, if not longer. Nope, I wasn't doing that
Good to know. I work right down the street by the post office and use Magnussen's for my service work.
yes. I preferenced one 3 weeks ago from my local dealer (Blue streak with alloys and sunroof) and he thinks It will be in by late April. I tried to get one through another dealer in a different part of the state, but they weren't able to get it for me. I currently have an 04 prius and having driven a c 4 times now I am really impressed with it. Hoping it comes in ahead of schedule.
