For all you new owners of the Prius C is the mpg what you had expected? I am seeing all different mpg figures from 40's mpg to the 60 mpg range for you new owners, I know there is not the same amount of new owners as the regular Prius. It reminds me of the Prius 2010 when it first came out. We bought ours in May of 2009. Our first round trip to Reno the next week after we got it was over 52 mpg calculated. Now the weather was nice which is probably why we got that figure in a new vehicle. The MPG gauge was off about 3-3.5 mpg, the same amount it is today. Our last winter fill up was 48.75 calculated. In summer it is alway in the low 50's calculated. For all you new Prius C owners, congradulations, keep us all posted.....
Priuc C III 1) 32MPG - going up hill and many stop sign. 25mph 2) 43MPG - come down hill and many stop sign. 25mph 3) 60MPG - flat road, about 30mph to 45mph. the best is 79MPG. lol 4) 48MPG - freeway -240 miles trip. avg 72mph .could be better if I drove 65mph.
My wife apparently has a very heavy foot so her comp calculated MPG is on 44.5 right now (these are relatively flat roads with curves avg mph of 45)... have not had our first fill up so we shall see the damage then. however on a side note my 12' prius II is getting a gauage calculated 58mpg so we can see the descrepancy (sp?) of who drives like a bat out of hell lol.
I was looking at the Prius C to get at least 5-7 more mpg than the regular Prius as it is 500 lbs lighter. Maybe as those vehicles break in will see higher average figures.
ya but even my wife commented today about how slow i am on take off, i was like are we in a hurry?... I feel as though it we were to switch cars i would be able to knock out at least a 70 on the calculated MPG as i have done close to this (65mpg) on commutes to work and around town. you can tell it takes a lot less to move the C. It is almost like the C isnt even a prius. I am sure othe prius owners can agree. Driving a prius is driving a prius but driving a C is like driving a normal car.
