Has anyone received a CA Green HOV Sticker yet?

I guess the one benefit of not having my stickers yet is by going slower in traffic, I've been able to optimize my EV/HV usage and get very high mpg over my 30 mile commute. Yesterday was a new record for me - 112 mpg. :rockon: Been regularly getting 85-98.

 

i thought about this too but after someone stole the stickers off my 2007 prius i'm glad i did not make it any easier for them.

there's no way i'd do this around here (norcal).

 

I think UCBruins' idea is to take them off and with him when he's not in the car... No risk of someone stealing them then...

 

So it seems were roughly up to sticker number 37 or so on this board.
Anybody else have their checks cashed this week. We should have another batch coming out next week?

 

i see, well i know i'd forget to take them off or go somewhere where it was inconvenient to hold on to them, and poof. but others are probably more disciplined.

what i eventually did on my older prius is to cover the stickers in that clear paint protection film. just trying to keep an honest man honest, as they say.

 

My check cleared the bank yesterday. From the check image, looks like I am getting #0041.

 

My check for what is apparently #38 cleared yesterday.

 

Went down to the local sign store and picked up a magnet used for signs placed on cars. I cut out an HOV sticker size piece and presto:





Sticks on great. I'll have to make sure I take it off when I get to work.

 

Got my stickers today! #40. Check sent on Mon Mar 12.

 

To those attaching their HOV decals in a removal manner: Are you risking being cited for not having the decals properly attached to the car? I get the impression that the DMV really intended for them to be installed in a non-removable fashion, so they would not be portable to multiple vehicles.

 

I read over DMV's website (http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/decal.htm) entirely and here are the ONLY directions on applying the decals:

Large Decals—
Place on the rear quarter panels, one on each side of the vehicle, behind the wheel wells, with the state seal pointed up on the bottom of the decal.

Take a look at my pic with the attached decal. Have I 'placed' the decal on the rear quarter panel?

 

Check cleared 3/23 - looks like I will be #0123? if I am reading it right on the back of the check. woohoo!

edit: The "123" on the back must be something else. I got my stickers and I am #85. There was no 85 on the check. But I am happily driving in the HOV lane again!

 

I just went back and looked at the endorsement on the back of my check, and nothing matched my sticker number 12. My license plate number was handwritten, and on the same line were the numbers 0001. The rest of the numbers were stamped and listed the date, etc. If they have any idea up there in Sacto about what they are putting us all through, they must be laughing their heads off!

 

What day did you send in your check?

 

Finally got mine today. The folks in sacramento musta had this number waiting for me... Now for the rebate check and we're set.

 

got em today. looks like 10 days round trip,

 

It turned out to be #57 - so the number written on the check endorsement has nothing to do with the sticker number.

 

WHERE ARE THOSE CARSON TOYOTA PLATE FRAMES?

Me too. I just received mine and the number on the check has nothing to do with the actual sticker!
