The 2012 Prius doesnt come with the stationary tray (at least mine didnt) so I took one from the previous model and it fits perfectly! Anyway, pics of the tray inside my console box is attached.

Also, my first tank yielded [email protected] gal = 52mpg!! :cheer2:

Do you have any idea how to get a replacement stationary tray? My Prius didn't come with one either.

My best guess is the parts department? My sales guy had 1 extra so he gave it to me when I called and asked about the tray. Maybe you can call your sales guy up and say "hey, my car is missing a tray in the console box..." (worth a shot, hehe)

The tray is a standard feature on 2010. You must be missing it since day 1.

Mine didn't come with the tray and my sales guy checked the ones he had and those didn't come with it. Strange that they will leave out the tray for the 2012's.

Have any of you all checked the glove boxes, the storage area under the cargo floor, or down by the spare tire? Other members have reported finding things in those areas that should have been installed elsewhere.

Looks good. Love it when you all post pictures.

I have a question about the tray, for anyone who would like to comment. My tray is hinged and doesn't lift out, only flips up and back. My question is, what good is it really? If I want to get to the usb plug down near the bottom of the console, whatever I have on the tray either falls out or I have to remove it since the tray flips up. Am I missing something here or am I just doing it wrong? :help:

The tray flips up so you can gain access to what is beneath. I would not refer to it as a stationary tray like the OP I like to think of it a a mobile phone or digital media storage/player storage tray. When I am charging my phone or have it connected via USB I put it in the tray, that is why the tray has a cut out on the front lip so wires may exit.

It's good for placing the most frequently accessed stuff so you don't have to go digging for it inside the console every time. I keep my sticks of gum on there.

The 2012 is missing a lot of little things as a cost-cutting measure. No footwell lighting, rain-repellent windows, illuminated vanity mirrors, tray, etc. Fortunately, they're not too big of a deal or can be easily retrofitted if desired.

My 2012 has illuminated vanity mirrors and footwell lights. I've seen this before, but I checked, and the lights are there. It is a four, so maybe on the 2's? Maybe they are just not putting it on the window sticker because it is so standard?

Well, they're gone on the Canadian version even on the highest trim, unless our source is wrong.

I got my 2010 Prius a few months ago from Hertz Rent2Buy. The tray probably got lost along the way. I'll talk to the dealer and see if they can help me out.

I checked with my Toyota parts department and came up with part number 58825, console box pocket. It looks like it might be the tray based on the exploded drawing of the console the parts department printed out. I would appreciate it if someone with the tray would look and see if there is a part number on the tray. Hopefully that would confirm that this is the right part number.

    Thanks

I received the tray and can verify that part number 58825-47020 is the swing up tray that fits in the console of the 2012 Prius.

Cool. I never used mine (2011). I took it out the first day, along with the strap that is supposed to hold down the flat tire (on full-size wheel) when you install the spare.

How much did you pay for the tray?

I use it all the time for change.

I lined it with felt to keep the change from moving around and making noise. I also lined my glove box.

Oh wow, this is really cool! I want a console tray... So do I just call up the dealership and ask to order the part by giving them the part number? Love your felt idea!
