Thank you everyone! My dealer has not been able to locate one for me. I have seen one in one dealer but it was v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) Two and v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) Five with the option. There is one v five w/o option at a dealer not toofar from this dealer. I guess they do not exchange their inventory? If Toyota makes the same number of Prius v for each colors, it seems it is basically the caulculation of probability which one you see in dealers near you....
it certainly seems like it, in the past, the dealers i went to, said that they would check with other dealers, to see if the car i wanted was at another dealer, and i caught him in the lunch room drinking coffee, and he jumped up upon noticing me , and said there are none around. how he found that out in about 30 seconds mmmm!!
Edmunds has partner dealers that will show what they have within a specified radius in stock. I believe cars.com may give the same info less the partner stuff. And yes they do exchange inventory although sometimes begrudgingly. My car came from another dealer. W
Our local (very large) Toyota dealer has a huge parking lot as well as a multi-story parking building, just for new car inventory. Despite that, they didn't have any vees in stock (not even in the showroom) and the salesman told me that the vees sell as soon as they arrive.
Mine's red...third red car. Red didn't show dirt badly on my 2007 Prius parked outside in all weather in the Maryland countryside. It was fine in the dust of the Mojave. My new one is garaged, but since it is close to the same red as the 2007, should be fine. The interior color I DID change...the tan will go better with dog hair.
Wow I'm not the only one shopping with my dog in mind. Here dark gray was my choice for the same reason. Blue ribbon metallic aka dark blue will be like a black car to keep clean. Ugh! Magnetic gray isn't as bad but still shows. I would guess silver is the least obvious. W
Ours is Barcellona red --- second in this colour --- easy to be seen, especially in a northern snow storm.
I just ordered a v 3 in clear sky metallic w/dark gray interior. But my dealer claims that for some weird reason this color combo never comes to our area. I've only seen clear sky metallic w/bisque interior and she couldn't locate one at the local dealers or distributor. So she had to order from Japan....it'll be June before it arrives.
I have the Barcelona Red with Bisque interior, just picked her up today. I was looking for the clear sky, the red or the dark blue, I wanted the bisque interior regardless--I'm in Boston and have plenty of dealers in the area- I combed all their inventory (online) and only found ONE v wagon five that had the bisque interior. "Barcelona Red it is!" Traded in my Gen 2 (2006) prius, blue with tan leather. GREAT seats for dogs.
Prius v5 Blizzard Pearl with misty gray interior. Why white? Reflects Texas sunshine and heat. Keeps the car cooler inside.
