I picked up my Blizzard Pearl Base Model today. Must say it was worth the wait. I even had the chance to talk with jbrad4 who called in to Joe our Dealer while I was signing papers. His car is at port and will be here shortly as well. Love the car and all the features. Did not know it came with the A/C remote on key chain which was bonus living here in the desert. Came with 6 miles on it. Charging it up as we speak to pick up my daughter at school in 2 hours. :bounce::bounce::bounce:

    COOL!

In terms of EV range, I'll personally be interested to see how it handles big heat and heavy a/c use. Texas won't get them for another year.

I too am interested in the heat and a/c use...however, I don't think I can wait till 2013. I'm planning to follow jbrad4's lead and travel to Northern CA (visit wine country while I'm there) and purchase this summer...hopefully.

    :)

Or buy from Diane in soCal and drive up to Napa via PCH1. That's an epic road trip. I did it many years ago and tried to rent the original Honda insight at LAX but they were out.

Thanks for the suggestion! I too have completed that drive and it is fantastic! I thought about Diane and SoCal but it would add about 500 miles of additional driving...however it might be worth it. We'll see, I haven't settled on a dealer yet.

    We'll see...thanks again!

Your'e going to love it. I have the match to yours up here in Oregon, over 300 miles and averaging 67 MPG.

Won't be using heat until December...Round trip from home, to my daughters school, and then to my work... started with 12.5 EV, ended up at office with 3.4 left and plugged in.

I also live in Oregon, Seaside, how long is your EV
range when its pouring rain, and your defroster is on,
    lights, windshield wipers, etc.

I see a big drop in mpg's sometimes as much a 7 mpg
during that type of weather and road conditions.

67 MPG's is great, we are aveageing about 44-47 mpg calculated
during this winter. Of course with reg gas and 10% Ethanol.

Hopefully, my car will be the 2nd Plug-In on the road in Tucson. My Plug-In came in on the PYXIS on Monday, and arrived at Desert Toyota last evening (Friday). I had originally planned on being in Tucson to pick up my car the day after tomorrow. But, since PYXIS came into Long Beach 4 days later than I projected, I put off my trip. So, I'll be there and pick it up a week from Monday (Apr 2nd). I'm excited about getting there and driving it!
