I will get hands on my Prius tomorrow. Dealer told me there should be 8 years warranty on the hybrid components. All warranty info I can find, seems to relate mostly to US (8 years/100k miles - over here, we use metric system (km)). Where do I find warranty info on my exact vehicle? I suspect it may vary by year etc. too.
If you get all the paperwork for the car (handbook and leaflets that came with it from new), it should be in there. I bought a 2008, back in January, and I think it said 8 years, 100k miles. The metric version will probably say either 150k or 160k km, I'm guessing. A local dealer will probably be able to tell you, if the warranty booklet is missing. The 8 year warranty appears to be the default. Some parts of the US have longer because of local variations in the law.
Dealer thought it was 8 or 12 years. I have not seen 12 mentioned anywhere so I think it is 8. Guess I will have to see what the papers say when I get my hands on it. I expect 150k km. Thanks.
If it helps... The UK warranty for hybrid components is eight years or 100,000 miles. (whichever comes first) There's a twelve year warranty for any rust on the body work.
