I see people who are following what ship or what truck their car is on before it's delivered to the dealership, build dates and "waiting at the dock" times and such. Where are you getting this information? Occasionally I see references to a website or emails from Toyota but nothing definitive. I've just ordered one and I want to hear about it...
Those who ordered under what was called a Priority Order (it ended in December of last year) got notices of things like when the ordered car was assembled, shipped from Japan and arrived at a US port. These dates offered clues to what ships they may have been on which could then be tracked. Your new order will not have these clues. Your source of information will be your dealer. Dealer interest in these matters has been spotty. Some dealers are very interested, others seem to be bothered by or even threatened by such curiosity. Find out where your dealer stands and work with them if possible. Then you may have the clues necessary to participate with our online tracking.
How did you recently order your PIP? I have been checking for updates daily with no luck. Did you go to the dealer?
