It is March 19, I live near the 45th parallel, this should not be my mpg for nearly a tank of gas. This is June stuff, not March. Sorry for the quality of the picture, it was from my phone and it was dark out.
Enjoy the Summer weather while you can, Tony. As long as it's just us humans that are confused, and not our crops, we'll be alright. The jet stream has been flowing South to North over North America for a while, instead of the usual West to East, which is producing some strange and unseasonable weather.
I'm not complaining about my mpgs. We haven't seen below 0 F in over 2 years. I used to do a lot of whitewater kayaking and saw a decade of winter draughts which really took the fun out of that sport as well as the farming. We've had 1/3 of the normal precipitation this winter-that's not good. Last year we had tons of snow but really no cold temps (10-25 below F is not unusual). This is getting to be more than a fluke year. Things have been odd since about 1990.
Feh. I love spring, not only for the obvious reasons but because since it's usually a rare decent stretch where I'm neither heating nor cooling off the car I actually can get a tank that's above 40 MPG. But nooo..... we go straight from having 40-degree days to 95-in-the-sun days. Sometimes I wish Mojo was right.
