Okay, Who's waxed/polished their new Prius c?

So far one wash and vacuum. Soon me and my friend with his Prius Plug In it will doing are cars full Zaino! Ill post pics after its done.

 

just did the despicable drive thru car wash. of course rained thereafter for three day. should not do it but i do.take antenna off and fold mirrors

 

What kind of wax you guys use? which kind is more east to use?

 

I waxed her up on about the 3rd day lol!! I used Meguiar's cleaner wax, it drys fast and doesn't create that dusty powder when you wax off.

 

I will try to rejex. I found one on ebay $17.99 shipped.

 

meguires especially if you have a dark or metallic color like my magnetic gray gives a deep shine and the metal flakes pop out

it took me like 2 minutes after signing the sales contract before I waxed my car! haha...

 

Of course! I had it waxed within 3 hours of getting it home.

I'm curious about the Opti-Coat. Seems like good things online, just need to find someone local who can do it.

Washed, sealed, waxed, and polished my C yesterday. Looks beautiful.

I used Chemical Guys soap, Jetseal 109, Carnuba Butterwet Wax, and polish.


Also has anybody else noticed swirl marks on the rear spoiler? Mine weren't too bad and most of them waxed out but I saw some at the dealer's that looked awful. Maybe it's how they were packaged or shipped?

I was wondering which Meguires you used. I know they all perform real well, but lately I am having pretty good results with the Ultimate Quick Wax.

Read the can or bottle and check for UV protection so colors don't fade!

 

I detailed cars for years do not use this opti-coat product it reminds me of a product someone tried to push on us and it is problems waiting to happen. It looks like shellac when done and prevents your paint from breathing,( I know it sounds odd) eventually it will crack from heat. I use meguires gold class carnuba plus. After application you can use a microfiber towel and dust down your car everyday before heading out and it will stay smooth and clean. I do recommend using clay to remove bugs instead of a bugsponge to prevent scratches.
