Just got a Prius C and am trying to hack my way into getting entune working in Canada. A snag I've come across is downloading the entune IPA from iTunes. It says I need a USA account. Does anyone know of an alternative download location? Or do you have the IPA? Can you upload it to a file sharing site for me? Thanks! Happily hacking away!
Ok I found the entune app. via this tutorial. How to Open a US iTunes Account Without a Credit Card | iPhone in Canada Blog - Canada's #1 iPhone Resource the Canadian VIN I entered didn't work. So I found one on ebay and entered that. It allowed me to set up a account but it still wont connect to my Canadian Prius C. More complex then I though...still a work in progress.
Hunting around I think the only way to get entune would be to go to a US dealer and get them to flash your headunit with US firmware. No idea if any dealer would actually do it though. Perhaps if you said you were moving to the US. Anyone have an ear at a dealership?
