Hello! My husband and I bought a Prius 2 on leap day, Februrary 29. It's the blizzard pearl color and we tinted the windows, had a venture shield put on and added mud guards. That should be it for the mods (until speakers . I traded in my 15 mpg Jeep for the Prius and am loving it. I do hope that Toyota will come out with a convertible hybrid. This forum has been very informative and I'm looking forward to learning more about this car!

Thank you for the welcome! I forgot to mention my favorite mod: a hitch for the bike rack. It is so much easier than putting my bike in the back. We are enjoying the Prius very much. Our 16 year old has driven it and loved it. I think she's hoping to get it some day .

Welcome to the forum. From 15mpg to 50mpg is a HUGE jump! I went from 14mpg (GMC Sierra)to 50mpg (2005 Prius) as well. I paid off the car in gas savings after 5yrs or so.
Welcome to Prius, and enjoy the ride! There are so many Prius owners here in the SF Bay Area that it's hard to find my car in the parking lot sometimes.
That's where you put wild art on yours to make yours stand out. Of course, by doing so, you also make it a lot easier for the cops to go, "Yea, that's my b****!"

Hahaha! We thought it would only age four years so we could trade it in in four years but it would only be one year old. Think it would work? I do wish Toyota would come out with a hybrid convertible, but I imagine that would come in the Lexus line. Thanks again for the welcome, everyone. I think it will be a while before a 'convertible' would even be considered. The design of the Prius is about Aerodynamics for that MPG, but I could be wrong with the Convertable, although, most convertibles are not for MPG thing.
I'm sure you're correct, just dreaming. My dream car is a convertible Mustang, but I'm getting spoiled by the MPG.
