I was all set to buy the Kia Rio 5 HB SX A/T since end of last year. After running after Kia dealers and getting the same response " we rarely get them & they come & go very fast" and one of the dealers wanted couple of grand over MRP, I decided to look at alternatives. Went to the local Toyota dealership & drove both Prius C II & Prius II. Figured that for my almost 90 fwy mile daily commute, Prius II will be more comfy. I am now a new proud owner of a Silver Prius II.
Yes, it's a 2012 Prius model Two/2. I test drove Prius C 2 first & thought it was too subcompact and reminded me too much of a Yaris I had rented few months ago. Once I drove the Prius 2, I was sold. Other than being a hatchback, some of the stuff I wanted was included like steering audio controls, USB, Alloys, front fog/side lights, high seating and did I mention great MPG
Congrats man! I too drove both the c and the lift back, and felt the exact same as you. Coming from a CRZ, I wanted something that felt more substantial, so here I am with a 2012 winter grey Prius II haha. I love it so far
It did feel like an upscale Yaris and will be a perfect "City" car. I am not sure if it will do that great in San Francisco hilly terrain For a longer commute, I just felt that the Prius II is a better choice & will provide a much more comfortable ride.
Congrats! Big jump from a Kia Rio! Which dealer did you buy from btw? I FINALLY ended my crusade looking for the right deal throughout the LA/Orange County region.
