Is this your first prius? What did you have before? Toyota is obviously hoping to bring in new converts to the Prius brand with this, and it totally worked for me. This is my first prius. I traded in a 2001 Honda Accord. I hadn't planned to buy a prius but when I realized I needed some major maintenance on the Honda I started looking around at pre-owned regular priuses and then saw this one. I've been a Honda girl for years but I'm loving this new car!
I had a 2007 Toyota Yaris Hatch. I love that car, but wanted some upgrades (cruise, Bluetooth handsfree, Nav). Just picked mine up yesterday and my wife's should be here this week.
Oh man, the bluetooth is the coolest thing ever! Of course I'm coming from a very non-technologically advanced car but that is the greatest thing ever.
I came from a 2010 Handa Fit, an equally good car except mpg's. I said it would take a special car for Toyota to lure me back so the C must be pretty special lol!
I had 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limted 4x4 with 273k miles. It bested me 15 mpg hehe. I loved that truck for 10 years and I put the ad on Craigslist for $1500 and had 20 calls in 30 mins. If only would had 19 more of them it would have paid for the C haha.
previous car was 2004 Prius (235,000 miles), all Prius family, wife has a 2007 Prius and son has 2006 Prius(160,000) sold the 2004 on craiglist in 3 days at blue book.
I had been driving a 96 Toyota Camry its now my mothers and I bought the Prius so its the first car Ive owned, Well 2nd I got a '53 chevy half ton as a show car.
I'm replacing a 2000 Honda Insight with 300,000+ miles. Hope to drive this Prius C that far or further.
My wife is the main driver of our C. She used to have an 07 Civic. And now I'm seriously considering selling my 04 RSX for a prius too =)
Previous ride was a 2002 JDM Honda Integra Type R.. Tuned it myself and give runs about 12KM/L, which is about 28MPG..
I'm waiting for my c to get here to replace my 2001 Ford Focus. It was my first car, bought it with 94,000 miles on it. It only gets 20-23 mpg, and has had its share of issues. When I started looking into replacing it, I was strongly considering getting a used liftback. But then someone told me Toyota was about to release a smaller, cheaper model, and I was sold almost immediately. For nearly the same price, I could get a new Prius with lots of features standard (aux jack/usb, bluetooth, etc) or a used Prius a few years old with a bunch of miles and no features. It was a no-brainer for me!
Some of my previous cars. It's been a fun road that has led me to owning the c. https://picasaweb.google.com/kkim993/Cars
I'm trading it a 2004 Prius for a Prius C, too many maintenance problems coming up now from lack of care from previous owner and from straight ignorance of my current repair shop. If you take your care in for a tune up you expect a tune up right?
Very excited newbie here! I went from driving a 2011 Fit to the c 2, but we were actually replacing a 2001 Saturn sedan. I get to drive the new car and husband moves up from the Saturn to the Fit.
Replaced my 2003 Toyota Echo. That car was still in perfect shape until hitting a coyote. I knew about the C and knew it was coming out soon. About 2 weeks later the C showed up. I will miss my echo though : (
I currently drive a modified Mitsubishi Evo X GSR which is getting me like 17 MPG combined. With gas prices at 4.60 (I have to put 91 in my car) I decided it's time for a Prius C one. I spend close to $500 a month in gas and drive about 20,000 miles a year! I didn't even know the prius C existed until just a few days ago thru google. I was very impressed after going thru countless sites on this car. I don't own the prius c yet but i will very shortly This is my first reply on the forums YAY ME
I dumped a Dodge Neon for a 2004 Prius. My wife didn't like it much. It got totalled a year ago, and I replaced it with a 2011 Prius. The wife hates it. The wife drives a 2008 Rav4. We just traded that in for a C three yesterday. She loves it. I like it so much I might trade the 2011 in for another C.
