45 with a wife, a 4 year old and an 8 year old. For a short time we were looking at the Kia Soul, also marketed to young drivers in their twenties. but when I saw them on the street, 2 out of 3 drivers were mid-fifties.
Thanks, Tony. This poll is a great way to get a quick read of the age groups. It will be very interesting to see if the results match Toyota's expectations. This thread, however, provides information on other important dimensions that can shed even more light on which groups of consumers buy the Prius c. If c owners can input data into both this thread and the poll then we will end up with a very good picture of this demography. (And perhaps some market researcher at Toyota can collect this data into a spreadsheet and share with us the result - in a nice colorful graph!!)
Sure, I just had so many problems with it. The transmission sucks because it jerks forward a lot of times from a stop. I called about it and they just told me that it was "dual clutch" and its supposed to do that. The mileage is not that good. Bluelink does not work either, especially the gas saving programs like ecocoach. Also, I already needed 3 computer updates due to a faulty code, and to update Bluelink. Also, I found the ride hard due to the 18inch wheels and kind of loud. All my problems disappeared when I got the Prius C 3.
Good choice, I had a lot of problems with it. Thank god, Toyota gave me $21,000 for it as a trade-in.
Downhill side of 60 & Ornery as heck! For everything else - none of your business!! Now - where in the *#$@! did I put my galassses??
28, married, no kids, 1 dog, replacing my wife's 07 civic. Maybe I will replace my RSX next with a prius too =)
Do these kids still live in your household? And did you haul them in the Prius IV? (just trying to clarify, because one of the goals is to determine whether or not most Prius c buyers have no young kids to haul around) btw, I'd love to retire to Kauai someday
I joined this site today, but no C yet. Drove one yesterday. will pull the trigger when I find a package 3 with a moonroof and no other options, not marked up $2K. The one I drove yesterday was "optioned up" to $28K. For the answer to this question, 39, 2 kids, dog, full time engineer, and full time student. Replacing a pair of 1995 Nissan 200 SX SE-Rs.
Sounds like a ripoff to me! Check out the specs posted in Sticky. BTW, I worked in the Netboss division at Harris in Melbourne some years ago!
They came with the car but were $190.00. They are very nice though and include a nice heavy duty rubber mat for the cargo area!
Sales at Servco Honolulu say they don't even have the catalog for all the accesories yet... I was told this when I went in and asked about body side moldings (yes I am an old geezer) and the thing to protect the rear bumper/loading/catcher of things dropped as you toss things in the back of the car.
just signed the contract today. I am replacing my 2008 yaris sedan with it. It should arrive within 3-5 weeks they said. 18, no kids. decided to be sporadic and got it in habanero! haha
