Hitch Visability - Curt vs. Draw-Tite vs. Hidden Hitch

    I have been looking at installing a hitch for a bike rack on my 2012 Prius. I want it to be as invisible as possible. I know there is the ECOhitch available, but between the Curt, Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch, is there any real difference? Is one less visible than the others?

    I have seen a few pictures and searched the forums here, but I thought I'd ask since most of the pictures are taken from ground level (hitch level). I'd like to see what they look like while standing 15-20 feet behind the vehicle.

    You can see them all. I was just wondering if any of them were less visible than the others.

    It doesnt liok that bad anyway, nothing out of place. This isnt a hitch on an escort wagon

    LevelHead,

    I ordered my Curt on 3-13 and it came by FedX today
    (free shipping)! It took me 2 hours to intall and its a pretty solid fit! I am impressed with the quality and fit of the hitch. It is pretty much undetectable under the bumper- only the reciever is visible- barely. Sorry the pix are dark - i finished the install at 9pm.

    Thanks for the offer, but I already bought it and had it installed as I don't have a torque wrench or the longer reach sockets. I also bought a rack. This isn't my car, but here is a pic from the internet with the same setup (except my Prius is a 2012).

    It Thule's aluminum rack (which is a great as it is very light compared to other racks) It can hold 3 bikes and has a built in lock, I have the same one and love it. Also I can open the hitch without having to lower the rack (it has a lowering arm built into the rack) but the hitch will clear it with the rack in the up position.

    It holds the wifes beach cruiser no problem.

    I put on the curt last night by myself, took about 30 mins. Don't really need a torque wrench unless you plan on towing. I just muscled it down for my bike rack and luggage hitch.

    Yes you can see it a little, if you look for it. Well worth the money.
