Getting 60 MPG city driving on my Prius C.... also getting 53 on the highway, with 350 miles of driving. Love the prius C the best car i ever owned............worth every penny
Why did you post this in the Prius V forums instead of the Prius C forums? Oh...sorry.....congratulations! Glad to see your new purchase is meeting your expectations!
He was so excited to see those kind of numbers, he just lost his sense of direction, but 60 is a great number!!! BTW ... :welcome:
What is a bid deal? Difference between 52 vs. 60mpg we are talking about 0.6L/100km (0.158US gallons) Just skip one MacDonald per month and you will make up for the difference
too many short trips? highway miles? we were getting 58.5 indicated through the winter, this is over 10,000mi oil change interval.
Same avg mpg rating on my Prius c Four w/ 16" wheels too!!! And I got 488 miles on my first tank w/ 80% being highway miles!!! I've even seen 99.9 mpg on flat backroads driving at about 30 mpg... Soooooooo glad I bought one of these babies!!!
Thanks for your post. How many gallons did it take to fill up? What did your MPG gauge state? Thanks in advance
That's great, 60 MPG! But for the person bummed about 52 MPG in liftback, no need to be ... in 400 miles driving, the difference in gas to refill is only 1 (one) gallon. Although that's honorable, it's not where the BIG changes need to occur in this country ... A really big change is going from a 15 MPG SUV into a liftback or even Prius v .... even if you got only 38 MPG actual in Prius v, you would ... save 16 gallons gas at that 400 mile fillup over the SUV !! (26.7 gal vs. 10.5 gal) This is significant and relevant because there are many, many large SUVs that only get 15 MPG and in many cases, they could do very well with family in a Prius v for example. In summary, liftback to Prius c in this case is 1 gallon difference over 400 miles From something like Nissan Armada to Prius v ... 16 gallons saved over 400 miles All that said, people with 15 MPG vehicles likely don't drive as much as those with 38 MPG cars, but maybe some do.
All of you Prius c newbies need to start posting your MPG AVERAGE OVER A FULL TANK. None of this I saw 99mpg for the lifetime of a Muon particle (2.20x10-6)! Let's see some full tank refills with associated number of miles, gallons pumped and indicated mpg. Then post it in the new thread so we can see how ya'll are really doing. Yer not skerd are ya?
