For those lucky enough to already have a PIP, Are you loving it? Is it all that you expected? Is it more? Is it less?

Just curious as a sit and wait for mine.

I really loved it today. My 51.7 mi daily commute with it charged at start and again at work gave me 103mpg. 537 miles and I still have 2/10 of a tank left. Fun, Fun, Fun...

The only thing not worth it is the Entune. I have a blackberry style and it is too much of a hassle to get it to connect. Thankfully, the HD radio, navigation, USB work fantastic and it sounds as good as the JBL in my 2005, even though it is a base model.

Yeah I have Blackberry, an old one, and I'm not expecting it to work. I just will plug my iPod into the car when my wife isn't listening to Fox Sports radio with The Loose Cannons all the time.

I'm loving it. It is both more and less what I expected. The MPG I'm getting is beyond my expectations. It's a very nice upgrade from the 2005 I was driving. The Display Audio head unit is a bit disappointing, as is Entune itself. But I love being able to stream audio via Bluetooth, see what tracks are playing, and easily change tracks with the steering wheel controls.

Overall, I'm very happy with my decision...

Actually, the old Blackberries are what Entune does support (minus the Plug-in Advance apps). No Entune support for the newer OS6 and OS7 phones. But the phone, e-mail/text message integration, and media player seem work just fine with Bluetooth on my Torch 9850.

Went on an EV mode drive this morning. Nice and smooth.

I agree with some of the reviews I read about how cheap some of the interior plastics seem compared with my 2006 model. They also got rid of the fancy rear view mirror on the basic package (no built-in HomeLink/dimming)

Originally I was going to have a Homelink mirror installed, but given how poorly the dimming function worked in my 2005, I'm not sure I'm going to bother at this point. I can easily flip the mirror to night mode, and I have a garage door opener that can be easily clipped to the visor.

I just drove my dads (yes, my dads, his showed up last Friday mine will be at the dealer this week, urgh) to work this morning and I was impressed. I started out with 12.9 miles EV range. The engine kicked on the Verrazano bridge because I had to merge in front of a truck and needed the extra power. Once I got off at 92nd street the engine shut off after about 30 seconds. I got to my destination with 6.9 EV miles still available and drove 7.1 miles. Yes, it was blended in the end but I'm still happy with the car and results thus far. The radio, even though he has the basic with display audio, is great. The HD radio I am liking as it improves AM and FM sound quality amazingly and the Pandora works great as well. I'll need alot more time behind the wheel especially when mine comes to make more comparisons and get a better feel for range etc but all in all it was what I was expecting and then some after driving both the demo 2010 model and a pre-production model last September 2011.

I love mine! Even waxed it over the weekend-plus the 05 Prius- the new one is a tad taller and harder to reach the middle of the top than the 05 (and I am tall, 5'11").
Over 250 miles averaging 70 MPG, combination of local and highway...still only used 1/4 tank of gas... awesome!!!

Took it to a Plug-In event on Saturday and had over 100 people look at it. Many already had Prius. Volt owner they had on panel had already returned his(I think battery issue when they said you could return them...but said he would buy another (???)).

Just waiting for the green carpool sticker...

Overall, I'm very pleased with mine. Comfort level is higher than in my previous Gen Twos. I had aftermarket leather installed, and it looks like the factory job in my '06, plus the door panels are done in leather as well. I do wish they would use better plastic, as it shows marks easily, such as where a bottle touches the lower door panel as you put it in the holder.
I like the satellite radio, and the iPod playback, but haven't really tried HD radio. Cellphone (T-Mobile Android 4G) works fine, but I don't use the Entune features, as it seems to devour the phone battery and at times causes the phone to lock up. I've tried a flash drive in the USB port, but haven't been able to get it to play the music.
I'm able to do my in town driving on EV, which was one of the main reasons I bought the car. Combined mileage is great. All things considered, I'm a happy camper!:D

Maybe the Volt owner is doing what you are doing, waiting for the carpool sticker.

I'm glad you are pleased with your PIP. I agree that the plastic dash and trim on the interior is a big step down from the Gen II. We have a 2011 Prius 3 with sunroof. The interior plastic really downgrades the interior. Ours has a big scratch from day 1. It's tough to pay $40K for a car with the interior plastic of a $20K car. Is beauty more than skin deep?
