Ohhh ok. My mistake. Yeah that's a 2012 standard Prius. LOL Well it's the US so they'll have to call it the Prius sportwagon, right? Cause the word sport makes it all better (just like in Europe where SE, sport or anything related to it somehow makes it a better car) Thanks for the confirmation.
I was just at a dealership. Loaded up 2012 Prius v (level 5) with leather seats and everything did not have the leather steering wheel... This was a $36k car...
Yes, Toyota has confirmed that US Spec Prius v's do not have wrapped steering wheels in higher end models. All Prius v's have the same wheel.
Does anyone know if any of the JDM or Fledermaus or usa.auto-style all leather steering wheels will fit the Prius V three? if someone knows of a US company that provides it - even better (avoid shipping) Fledermaus has them on sale for $198USD + shipping. If anyone has experience, here it would be useful. thank you
I have been working on this off and on since I bought my v. I have been busy with a Kitchen remodel. When I finish the Kitchen remodel I will get serious about sourcing them from Japan. I hope to work on this in the next 4-8 weeks.
cant you find a company near you that does leather interiors? They will wrap wheel for you in leather, and it shouldnt be that expensive at all.
The Canadian Prius v brochure states that the steering wheel is "leather wrapped" in the promotional brochure. This applies to all packages above the basic model. I received my Prius v Touring & Technology pkg a week ago and the sterring wheel is clearly wrapped in black leather as compared to the Softex trimmed seating. There is an error in the specs in some of the literature however. The Touring and Technology package clearly has headlight washers which are not listed in the specs. I am not sure about the levelling headlights although the lights are clearly LED.
