Can someone link me to an understandable explanation of the Fuel Mileage History Display?!!? I have read the manual on this topic over and over and don't understand these graphs at all or how to read them. Any help would be appreciated.
Each time that you reset Trip A or B, at fillup preferrably, your latest average mpg is displayed on the far right hand side of the bar graph. All previous bars shift one place to the left each time. So, starting from the right side the bars indicate the last few mpg averages from right to left. Your highest mpg is recorded at the bottom right corner of the graph screen.
I checked my History Display last night for the first time in quite a while. The right hand bar graph is actually your current miles and mpg since last trip reset. Your most recent resets are to the left going from right to left. There are two different graphs available, one for Trip A and another for Trip B.
Thanks jd......After the explanations looking at the graphs looks so simple I wonder how I couldn't understand it previously.
I moved from a 2004 to a 2011 this week. On the Gen II, each time I filled up, I could read my "tank mileage" on the dash as well as total miles driven on that tank. When I drove off from the pump, these figures reset themselves. On the Gen III I don't see this feature. Do I have to reset the trip computer each time I fill up?
