Help needed for the mechanically challenged. Prius is 5 1/2 years old and now, suddenly, both smart keys not working and I think both need new lithium batteries. How does one get to the battery? I could pry them open by brute force, but I'm afraid of cracking the plastic.
do a search for key fob battery replacement, there are great directions and pics. the only problem i had was, after 5 years, it was pretty well glued together. but it opened after some 'gentle persuasion'. oh nevermind, good job kei!
I don't know if the 2007 is the same as the 2011 but all you need to do is push the button on the side that releases the key. Pull the key out and you will see a slot to stick the end of your key into. Stick it in and twist. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?n0lybp
