My husband and I got to take a look at a 2006 at our dealership and were trying to figure out what the deal was with the new headlamps. It looks like there is a row of LEDs separating the two main sections but we couldn't find a way to turn them on. Our sales guy said he looked into it and couldn't find any info, including talking to the corporate trainer who knew nothing about it. Does anybody here have any ideas? Seems a shame if they're just for decoration... -- Cindy
Hope this is not misinformation by Toyota, but I went to the website and opened the standard features area and it said for the halagon headlights on-auto off. Is this true? Do the lights turn on or off when the car is turned on/off?
Where did you find that? Where I looked under "Models and Prices: it said "High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with auto-leveling" as a standard feature
If you go to ebrochure and download it, it is on page #4. It says auto off for multireflector halogen headlamps.
Yep, I see it. That looks encouraging. Thanks for finding that. Any '06 owners out there to confirm it?
