strange questiion but what color are the wheels under the hubcaps. could have sworn i saw a picture of black wheels. i must be imaging thingshwell:
thank you two bear. i hope to find out tuesday when mine is supposed to arrive. since my car will be black sand pearl im hoping that the wheels are black. that way i will leave the hubcaps off. that is, if the wheels look ok. on my past prii i left the hubcaps off and felt that the wheels looked much better. they were silver back then. oh well we will see
The 2012 liftback (standard Gen III Prius) now come with black wheels and a new wheel cover design. Since you posted in the Prius c forum The Prius c come with either steel wheels or silver alloy depending on trim level.
ummm what? there are no black wheels on the 2012 liftback, they are alloys, and the only non-silver alloys you'll ever see will be custom expensive ones. the c has steel wheels on 1, 2, and 3 standard, so they are "black". 3 has optional alloys while 4 comes with alloys standard.
Just went to Toyota dealer in Marietta, Georgia they had a 2012 model II, light green. The car had 5 spoke hub caps with black alloys under them!
I can not speak to the Prius C as of yet, but the GenIII 2012 Prius has black alloy wheels and the caps are alot more reduced and show more of the hub, I think they are an improvement.
